Cake with Olives and Cured ham (Cake aux Olives et jambon)

Cakes are commonly known to be sweet, fluffy and creamy but this recipe that I am sharing is not a cake for dessert! Cake with Olives and cured ham is something I discovered while living in France. A good recipes for apperitif (before dinner) and during diner time, even for picnics!

Heres the ingredients and how to do:
250 g flour
250 g cured ham
150 grated cheese
100 g green olives (seeds removed)
4 eggs
20 g butter (melted)
10 cl olive oil
10 cl milk
1 sachet baking powder
pepper

How to do:

Simply mixed everything starting from flour, baking powder, eggs, olive oil, milk and meted butter. Pour in the grated cheese in and mix it well. Pour in the olives and cured ham. Your mixture should not be too thick. It should be a bit liquid, enough to roll from the spoon.
The next step: take out your baking pan. Put butter all around it and a spoonful of flour. make sure to remove extra flour by tapping on the baking pan gently. Pour in your mixture. Do not fill the pan as the cake will expand during the baking. Bake it in a pre-heated oven of 200° for about 15-20 minutes. Do not overbake to avoid it from getting dry.. It should be moist and soft.
